Depot Diner is a full-service restaurant, owned and operated by Ron and Claudia Michaels, offering the very best of food in a historic setting. We offer a variety of delicious hors d’oeuvres, appetizers, entrees and desserts. We are pleased that you have expressed interest in our restaurant and hope we can assist you in the planning of your event.
Depot Diner offers three different spaces available to rent, depending on your specific needs. The Brickroom seats 90 comfortably with a rental fee of $200.00. This is a large banquet room that can be closed off from the rest of the restaurant for a private function. Audio/Visual equipment such as a folding screen and PA system are also available. The Bar seats 30 comfortably with a rental fee of $75.00 and can be rented alone or in conjunction with the Brickroom at a reduced fee of $225.00. We also offer the Courtyard which seats 50 comfortably. This is available for rental for parties for $100.00. The menu cost for your group will depend on the specific items chosen. Simply tell us what you would like to be served and we will provide you with a detailed estimated cost, which will include food, beverages, tax and service charges.
Whether you are planning a reception with hors d’oeuvres or a sit down meal, we have a staff of trained cooks who will personally prepare each item to be served at your event.
Please let us know if you have ideas for food items not on our menu, we will do our best to create any dish you desire. Rental fees may be waived under some circumstances.

GENERAL EVENT POLICIES


 Confirmation: We hold a credit card number as confirmation of the event. The event may be paid for with this same card, a different card, or by check at the end of the event. Any separate check arrangements must be made prior to the event date. We do not offer separate checks on groups of 20 or more.

 Depot Diner provides ALL food and drinks for your event. We do not allow alcohol, food or any other beverages to be brought in for events. The only exception to this policy is the wedding cake. We hope you will consider our partners to make your cake, but in the event that you have made prior plans for your cake, we will allow an outside cake to be brought in. This must be discussed in advance, so that we can properly provide for a cake table, professional cake cutting, as well as service of the cake.

 Any decorations or alterations to Depot Diner must be approved prior to your event. Balloons may be used only inside the restaurant. No signs may be placed in any public area of the restaurant unless prior approval.

 Guest counts are used to determine staffing, ordering, and table arrangement. The final guest count, given one week in advance, is what your group will be charged for. In the event of lower attendance, the final guest count on the order will still be charged. If, however, more guests than expected attend, the group will be charged for actual attendance.

 Depot Diner reserves the right to inspect and regulate all private meetings, events and receptions in accordance with restaurant policy and established laws. Loss, theft or damage to a group’s displays, decorations or other property brought on the premises will be the sole responsibility of the group.

 We hope there will never be a need to cancel an event already planned. However, we realize that there are certain circumstances that will necessitate cancellation. With at least 72 hours notice, there will be no penalty for canceling. There may be a charge for any rental items delivered before cancellation. With less than 72 hours notice, we charge a 50% cancellation fee. This fee applies to menus and gratuity. Any special orders will be charged at full price. This will also apply to items rented for guests by Depot Diner.

This agreement is to confirm and guarantee a guest count for a scheduled event. IT IS TO BE SIGNED AND RETURNED AT LEAST ONE WEEK PRIOR TO THE ENGAGEMENT. If it is not signed and returned within this time period, I understand that the original number of planned guests discussed, or an estimate of the number of guests made at Depot Diner’s discretion, will be used for planning and food preparation.
WE MUST RECEIVE THIS AGREEMENT IN ORDER TO SECURE YOUR RESERVATION. If the event is booked within a one week timeframe, the guest count used at the time of the booking will be used.
I understand and agree that I will be charged for this guaranteed number of guests, even if fewer actually attend this event. If however, there are more guests than expected, I will be charged for all in attendance. Depot Diner will make a conservative allowance for unexpected guests. However, food preparation, seating arrangements, and service staff are dependent on an accurate guest count.
